Steampunk Mrs Claus Outfit

This steampunk style outfit is based on a historic reference from 1874 -1877.  The center front and center back bodice panels are in metallic gold pleather. The remainder of the bodice is hunter green silk velvet with tiny gold sparkles. There is a tiny watch pocket at the left front side. The bodice snaps up the front and has a ruffled lace collar, and the body of the jacket is fully lined with cotton twill, but is not boned.

The red cotton velvet skirt has an arrangement of tapes that gather the back and pull it in at the sides. There are hook and eyes on the tapes and skirt that allow the train (shown above) to be pulled up for walking. The front panel of the skirt is a jacquard with a leaf and vine design in red and green. There is a gold trim around the base of the skirt.

The ensemble shown above was modeled with several garments underneath. A corset, petticoat, and bustle are recommended to achieve the shape shown - but these are not included with the outfit.

The bodice measures 36.5" bust, 29" waist, 21" long at center front. The skirt measures 43" long at the center front and has a 29" waist.
